Lead Gardener and Landscaper Wanted

This is not your typical landscaping job.
Urban Eden is building something a little different. We care about producing high quality work, taking pride in what we do, and building a business that has a positive impact in the community.
We are looking for someone who feels the same way. Someone who enjoys working outdoors, notices the details others miss, and wants to produce work they are genuinely proud to put their name to.
If you are the kind of person who likes to rush jobs or cut corners, this role will not be the right fit. But if you are someone who stands back at the end of a job and thinks, “That looks bloody good,” you will probably fit right in.

About the role

This is a hands on full-time role (a minimum of 30 hours per week up to 40 hours per week) working across both landscaping and garden maintenance.

Some days you will be maintaining gardens, mowing lawns or cutting hedges. Other days you may be installing readylawn, planting new gardens, building planter boxes or installing edging.

You will be trusted to work independently, help organise jobs when needed and ensure the work leaving site reflects the standard Urban Eden stands for.
No two days are the same, and that variety is part of what makes the role enjoyable.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Takes pride in doing a job properly
  • Is reliable, hardworking and trustworthy
  • Can work independently without being micromanaged
  • Has good attention to detail
  • Communicates clearly and professionally
  • Is physically fit and enjoys working outdoors

Experience & Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience in landscaping, gardening or similar work
  • Confident using landscaping and garden tools
  • Experience with hedge trimming, lawn care and planting
  • Full driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Garden maintenance including weeding, pruning and hedge trimming
  • Lawn mowing, edging and lawn care
  • Planting and garden bed preparation
  • Installing readylawn and landscaping features
  • Installing garden edging and planter boxes
